Play time...

Soooo...strong...push ups.

Swimming with my aquatically enhanced friends.

Deep thoughts by Benj

Pondering the finer things in life: bottles, clean diapers, binkys...(yep, that's about all we care about).

Pontificating

Grandpa & Grandma come to visit!!!

"Grandpa/Ben bonding"

Dear Grandpa, This is what I do. . .

"She is a happy one, isn't she?" inquires Benj.

"Mom/Dad...will she eventually stop kissing/hugging and fussing over me?"

"Grandpa" Mark & "Grandma" Julie

Yes you will little man...Yes you will.

Easter imagery

(For those who are focused on pictures of Benj, you will be disappointed. This flower and vase have very little significance. Ben did not sneeze on it, or even a wink in its direction. That said...This flower/vase combo was put together by our dear friend for the Easter service at church. A wonderful reminder of the vibrancy of life and the Resurrection we celebrate. A beautiful reminder.)

Dia con Los Santis (Day with the Santis)

The context of this picture...the Santi 3 all hard at work making lunch, cleaning the kitchen and excelling at hosting. The Cooper 3 did "this" most of the time. Aren't we great guests?! (who wants to host us next?)

"Cousin" Nico sharing his Momma...

Nico flying the airplane on Papas iPhone. "Uncle Coop" a bit jealous. Ben...content.

Naptime...again

"I Love You" - Ben-style

Sign Language or "I found my fingers"...you decide.

[Sunni's eyes: What a fox?!]

Happy Easter from the Coopers! (B is now 8weeks old)

Trying to entertain Ben...looking like a fool.

This is my "Ode to Melvin" look...never at the camera, easily distracted

As good as it gets...

If this were in an editorial section the caption would read...
our current worldview.

Happy Easter from Ben!

Narcolepsy + Superman = Benj

Ben napping...

Ben and his amazing Butt-bongos...Oh Daddy!

Theme: Zzzzzzzz

[I appreciate the opportunity to take an Easter afternoon nap...and one would think that napping with Melvin - or along side, would be comforting...however, I am a bit concerned about the "high maintenance" mentality of my dog...note his need for a pillow]

[My reflections of this photo: Ben is adorable, such a cuddler/peanut; I appreciate the snuggie for times such as these; Ben would look even cuter if you could see his White preppy pants to go with his striped shirt (such a looker); my hair is thinning...]

What do you call entertainment?!

One might think that NBC has us hooked with shows like Biggest Loser, or Law and Order. Perhaps ABC with their Grey's Anatomy and Dancing with the Stars. And who can resist the search for musical talent and stage presence as only seen through Fox's American Idol.

While we love TV like the rest of you, we are fully aware that we currently donate our meager "basic cable" bill to furthering the monopoly that is known as COMCAST. And while one would think that we could "fight the man" and cancel the most basic cable service that we have...that would leave us with no internet service and thus no way to share with you the view of our entertainment. So sit back and enjoy the following motion picture...

A tough job but someone's got to do it...

No one ever said parenting was easy...in fact, everyone says the opposite. Although through the tears, whining (and whatever the child might do too) you find those days of joy. Most of the time it is moments of joy, surrounding a headache: need to do laundry, dishes, vacuuming, laundry again (oops he spit up all over the freshly changed changing pad, AGAIN), feed him, feed myself, change the diaper, acknowledge that you still have a jealous dog who follows you every step of the way (chew toy in mouth, with hopes you will throw it just one more time)...

But joy it is, when your little one speaks and shares his newly-found voice.
[NOTICE: I did say their newly-found voice. For those with adolescents, this does not refer to you. I realize that joy is hard to come by with their vocal skills highly intact at that point. But please remember we are first time parents, so at this point everything is cute adorable and priceless...In time we too will be as jaded as you find yourself today:) ].

Ben tells us a story...

8 weeks old now and as first time parents we boast about our uber-intelligent little boy. Now I know that many parents say how amazing their child is, and anyone within proximity is urged to kindly smile and agree. (regardless of their true thoughts) Well I invite you to do the same (don't tell me how you really feel, rather tell me what I want to hear).
A lot has happened in the last week...(Benj will tell you all about it):
